The Equitable Service Plan is not equivalent to an active status in SRS for SPED. The student will need to be active to add the teams and forms. If the student does not need to be active in the ADVISER reporting, then set them to Exclude from ADVISER in the Edit student section.
Equitable service plans can be used when a student lives outside the district and attends a parochial school within the district. The parents have a choice of FAPE (IEP) provided by their resident district or an equitable service plan provided by the district where the nonpublic school is located.
Typing "Equitable" in the "Filter Results" box on the top right of the search will narrow down all results to just the equitable service students.
SRS doesn't pull data from ESPs to generate ADVISER records. The shortest path to an ADVISER record for these students is to use the Build ADVISER Reports button and enter the information for the student. The ESP student should not report since they will not have the IEP/IFSP or MDT needed to report to NDE.
The ESP was not added to use the full system in SRS. This was added for a reporting option. If you need them to have a team, then you would have to make them active.
The addition of the ESP data to SRS ADVISER will need to be discussed with the SRS Advisory board. For now, this will need to be added manually in the districts.
