IEP Changes - There is a video option to view or the tab changes are listed individually below.

Tab 1 - The end date was removed because on tab 6 there is an end date for each service. There is a text that displays on the form and in the print that says, “The IEP must be reviewed within a year of the conference date.”

Tab 4 - There is a checkbox for the transition plan and the additional transition services can be deleted.

Tab 5 - Progress report dates have been removed. They use the dates from the district or school progress report date settings. If you do not put dates into the school or district settings, then the dates will not populate on the progress reports that are generated when the form is finalized.  We have instructions and a video on how to set the progress reports for your school and/or district.

Tab 6 - Service Location drop-down changes are based on the student age. Birth to 4, 5 or 6-21 are the three choices.  The options to select from will change depending on the age of the student. Services are in the first two boxes.  The next three sections have text blocks to complete as needed.  The accommodations checklist has been removed. The ADVISER Special Education Setting for reporting to NDE is now mandatory so you have to make a selection here. It is still optional to turn off in the Edit student screen if you do not report to NDE from SRS.

The new service sections have text that you can complete.  You will want to discuss these with your district. Below are some suggestions we received in training yesterday:

  • Frequency - any time student has meltdown

  • Duration - sensory breaks

  • Assistive tech - must have a behavior and accommodation

  • Disability - must have at least 1 accommodation
