2026 IFSP Note from NDE 

Suggestions for immediate usage on IFSP forms until the new form is released in Jan 2027.

The Child’s Present Levels of Development section will require teams to document the child’s Current Abilities and Developmental Functioning, including a brief narrative describing the child’s functional performance in each developmental area. This narrative should address:

• What can the child do?

• What is difficult for the child?

• How the child’s skills affect their participation in daily routines and activities?
