Resident District:

  1. Holds onto the IEP in SRS (Special school doesn't utilize SRS).
  2. Report a SPED11 Transferred to another school district (Moved known to be continuing) SPED Reason Exited into ADVISER Validation.
  3. Change the student enrollment exit in ADVISER Validation to a Nebraska Special Purpose School (214).
  4. Keeps student’s record active in SRS.

Special School:

  1. Reports a SPED record for this student into ADVISER Validation (using SIS)
  2. Works with the resident district to implement the students IEP.

Special Purpose School is responsible for reporting as follows: 


District of Residence will report the student as Transferred Out.  

For students with a verified disability, the Resident Public School District will work with the Special Purpose School to develop and implement the IEP.  The Special Purpose school will report the Special Education Program record to ADVISER.
