What is changing and why?
Change from administered to self-service

To avoid confusion and frustration with the 2-part software
To make the experience self-service for paras to register, take the course and earn the certificate
Start at https://canvas.education.ne.gov
Content of modules not changing, but split into 3 courses for paras - to simplify the path to certificate
Certificates - automatically issued, in a different place than previously
Timeline
Soon - new registrations will be stopped in the current system
Later - the para.myesu.org system will become a records archive only

Can the paraprofessionals skip activities and go straight to post test?
No—they are expected to submit at least something for the activities to consider them “completed”.
Can the system send certificates to the district?
This isn’t an option.
