New Special Education Setting Codes 2025-2026 - Error Code 400

Changes to the NDE SPED setting codes are as follows:  14 (2024-2025) will now be 23, 24, 25 or 26 (2025-2026).

If you have a 400 error code in SRS ADVISER for 2025-2026, you will need to override the data and select the correct setting from the 4 options.  There may be a 14 or a 100 or no setting listed.  Since these are pulled from the IEP from 2024-2025, these will have to be edited manually by the district with the override option.

In SRS ADVISER Report for 2024-2025, the setting code 14 is available.  In the 2024-2025 report, you will still want to use 14 for a setting code if that is appropriate for your student.

In SRS ADVISER Report for 2025-2026, the setting code 14 is no longer available.  In the 2025-2026 report, you will want to use 23, 24, 25 or 26 for a setting code that is appropriate for your student.  The descriptions of these options are below.  They are also available in the pdf link for the Data elements.  SPED information for the setting codes begins on page 74.
